About Dr. Shayna Upchurch
As a family medicine physician, I take pride in developing long-term relationships with my patients to provide evidence-based medicine and lifestyle recommendations that are individualized to each patient’s unique circumstances. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Texas A&M University and completed my residency in Family Medicine at Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. Through open communication, education, and advocacy, I hope to empower my patients and partner with them in their healthcare journey.

I went into the office with a long list of problems to discuss. I was very nervous and Dr. Upchurch was a great listener. She helped me quickly get the testing I need some like an EKG and X-Ray right in her office after my appointment. I'm happy to have finally found a good primary care doctor.

Dr Upchurch, was amazing, as is the unanimous consensus across all of her reviews/sites, which is why I chose her. Office was on time, new and immaculately designed and clean. She took so much time speaking with me and going over everything and has an incredible bedside manner. Want rushed at all and even room more time that I started to feel bad that I was going to make her run behind for her next appointments. Her staff was equally as amazing, efficient and kind. As a fellow physician, I can’t recommend her and her office enough!

Dr. Upchurch was amazing! She took her time with me and went the extra mile on her own to obtain my past medical history. I am a senior citizen and have seen many different doctors over the years —I would put Dr. Upchurch in the top two for her knowledge, thoroughness and determination to find out exactly what is causing a patient’s complaint. She even took the time to pull up an image and explain to me in detail where and why I was having trouble. She and her staff were very personable and made me feel right at home even though it was my first visit. I know that I have now found THE right doctor!

Dr. Upchurch is great!!!! I have a lot of anxiety around doctors and just health in general. She was amazing at addressing some of those anxieties and understanding.
