“Really positive meeting and connection, both are so important when you trust someone with your mental health. He was a superb listener - I’ve been through a long mental health journey, and still struggling with some new challenges - my answers and histories take time and he was genuine and patient, but also felt like a solid partner with me in my mental health journey. I greatly recommend!”

“He listened to me without judgment- made me feel very comfortable and like he understood what was most important for me personally to focus on, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about a video visit as this was my first.. but needless to say, I actually preferred it. Was overall a great experience and will do it for as long as I can! Thanks!”

Getting to know Dr. Shehram Majid

Hi! I’m originally from Houston, TX and completed my medical school training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. I began my internship in Internal Medicine/Psychiatry at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and then transitioned to New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital to complete the remainder of my psychiatry residency. In September 2022, I became board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I work with patients struggling with general anxiety, depression, grief, family and relationship issues, college/early adulthood struggles, and career changes.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I practice whole person centered medicine, which combines traditional medication management with holistic interventions that include evidence informed herbal/plant based supplements, lifestyle changes, talk therapy, and mind-body wellness that is all aimed to holistically help you achieve your goals. I take time to build rapport with my patients and understand the multifaceted challenges they are facing in their lives and how they are contributing to their mental health symptoms.
