Dr. Sheli Agarwal, a board-certified physician with 21 years of experience, has been serving the Frederick, Maryland community since 2006. A graduate of GSVM Medical College in India and a University of Arkansas residency alum. Dr. Agarwal is a seasoned primary care provider. I traveled to the clinic (Uber) only to have vitals checked (weight, blood pressure, heart rate). I was then told that blood work would need to be done on an another day, or alternatively at LabCorp, followed by yet another visit to discuss results.
Despite this being labeled an annual physical, I was charged a copay because I was a “new patient,” which I only learned after contacting my insurance. This was never explained upfront.
The lack of transparency about billing, visit structure, and the need for multiple appointments made this experience unnecessarily expensive and inconvenient for what should be a routine preventive checkup.
I recommend that future patients — especially new ones — ask detailed questions in advance about costs, billing codes, and whether labs can be done the same day

I found Dr. Sheli agarwal on the Zocdoc app and was able to schedule an appointment very easily. I want to thank all the girls working at the front desk — they were very friendly and helped me quickly. I also want to thank Dr. Sheli agarwel who was kind, pleasant, and patiently answered all of my questions. I 100% recommend Dr. Agarwel and the Thomas Johnson office. Thank you all!

First of all, I was very happy that I got a same day appointment because i had missed my appointment with another provider, and their next availability was on October and I could not wait that long. She is now my primary care physician, and I am freatful for that because she listened attentively and respectfully. I definitely recommend

I made an appointment, they contacted me to confirm , I filled out all the previsit paperwork. 2 hours before my appointment they called and canceled. I called back to reschedule, and I’m still waiting for a response a week and half later. Will never use this again!

Staff was very friendly. I got the blood tests I requested but I feel like the staff listened better than the doctor. I had some other health issues that I felt were important that the doctor wanted to wait until another appointment to address. It was quick to be brought back to a room, but then I proceeded to sit for 20 minutes in the room before the doctor would even come in. I feel as though the appropriate questions were not asked and when I told her about it they were not listened to. I received my blood work results through my portal, but still have not received a phone call from the doctor to go over them.

Office is very bare. Not sure if it’s a budgetary thing or a new building, but each patient room only has the patient table, 1-2 chairs, and a scale on the wall. Nothing else in the room. Though this was just normal for the practice until I went to a different location. Drastic difference. Dr. Agarwal is cordial but felt very short, dismissive, and impersonal. Again, had a better experience with another location and will be switching over.

I really like Dr. Agrawal. She paid careful attention to what I was saying, didn’t rush the exam (listened to my heart and checked pressure points more thoroughly than any other doctor I’ve had in the last 7 years). Only thing is the facilities were wanting. No sink in the exam rooms, the attending PA didn’t have a laptop, wrote my BP and vitals on a piece of paper. Check in was quick and easy, all on an iPad and even took my picture. I’m just not sure about the stability of the practice due to the facilities. Will they still be there a year from now? Hope so.

I disliked not having a direct way to communicate with the Dr’s office until I drove back to the office and asked for one. To me that’s an unfortunate system. The doctor stood with her eyes on her computer and 3/4 of her back to me. She did not look at me but only asked questions and took notes. She made no attempt to be personable. I was looking for an internist to help pull together my several “syndromes”. My impression, on a first look, was that this was not what I was looking for.
