“They did not verify insurance prior to the appointment, there they charged me. I said my deductible and my max out of pocket was met 03/2025, she said, well the new year just started so you have a new deductible that needs to be met. I told her she is incorrect, my insurance renews 3/2026. I contacted Blue Cross and they confirmed they were incorrect and should not have charged me. Now I have to wait for a refund from the providers office.”

I had a very concerning first visit. I came in after 12 days of heavy bleeding with clots, feeling extremely weak, lightheaded, and with a severe headache. I clearly explained I had lost a lot of blood and did not feel well, but I was not advised to go to the ER or given any warning signs to watch for. The visit felt like basic intake only, then I was told to get labs and return in two weeks to discuss results. I was told an ibuprofen 800 mg prescription would be sent, but it was never placed, so I could not pick it up. I was also referred for an ultrasound to a clinic that did not accept my insurance, and coverage was not verified first. The next day I ended up in the ER and required a blood transfusion (2 units) due to dangerously low hemoglobin. Two days later the office called saying my labs were urgent—by then I was already hospitalized being treated. The blood draw at the clinic was also painful and left bruising and soreness. I expected better clinical judgment and follow-up.

This was my first time being seen at this clinic. I enjoyed my visit with my practitioner. She was excellent and listened to all of my concerns. The only downside was checking in. The front desk staff did not acknowledge me at all and there were three of them standing there without asking me anything. One of the staff was scrolling on her phone with her back to desk and another young lady was on phone not even paying attention to checking me in. I hope front desk can be trained on etiquette for patients who come in for their visits.

Overall great office. Doctor was amazing. Only issue I have is that my medication wasn’t sent to my pharmacy and it was a Friday so I have to wait three days to call and get them to sent the prescription over while I’m in pain over the weekend.
