About Dr. Shemeka Banger-Hill
Shemeka Banger-Hill, MD, earned her medical degree in 2001 at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She remained there to complete her Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency in 2005. After caring for patients for over a decade in her own private practice, Dr. Banger-Hill joined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2025 as a pediatrician and board-certified internist.
Seeing her grandmother battle cancer while her family cared for her helped Dr. Banger-Hill see the need for caring, compassionate physicians. As an internist and pediatrician, she enjoys taking care of patients of all ages for their health maintenance needs and their illnesses, both acute and chronic. This includes well checks, immunizations, and care for infections, injuries, and conditions such as diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension, and more. As a physician, Dr. Banger-Hill loves having the opportunity to help her patients chart a path to wellness as they change and grow through all phases of life.
Dr. Banger-Hill listens and gets to know her patients before working with them in establishing reasonable, personalized health goals. She cares for the whole person, including her patients’ physical, mental, and socioeconomic factors, to help them live well.
