Having a baby is a time of great excitement and deep emotion—a moment never forgotten. Personal touch, respect, and kindness make this experience even more meaningful. I strive to treat each patient as I would want to be treated. Every woman deserves safe, satisfying, personalized care. I focus on the whole person and deliver holistic, evidence-based care where the woman is at the center and intimately involved in decision-making. At age 12, I witnessed birth for the first time and was fascinated by the miracle—the first breath and the instant bond between mother and baby. Supporting women during this sensitive time became a reality in 1996 when I began my career as a Certified Nurse-Midwife. The wonder of birth continues to amaze me. My education includes a Bachelor’s from Jacksonville University, a Certificate in Nurse-Midwifery from Rutgers, a Master’s in Nurse-Midwifery from Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University. These experiences have shaped my commitment to excellence in midwifery care. I’m actively involved with mission initiatives at my church. Traveling with my husband has provided opportunities to participate in team ministry—he preaches while I share music by playing piano or organ, singing, or playing flute. These trips have allowed me to visit hospitals and meet midwives in various countries. I have also worked with the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) in marketing midwifery initiatives and currently serve on ACNM’s Membership and Marketing Committee. Healthy living has been a lifelong goal. I love gourmet cooking and baking bread. Music has been a passion since childhood—I began piano at age 3 and was playing for church by 5. I have also taught piano and flute. On vacations, my husband and two daughters enjoy tropical destinations where we scuba dive; I have been a PADI advanced diver for many years.
