She subsequently joined VCU Health as an Attending Physician and VCU School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and continued as a practicing physician, faculty, teacher, and mentor for several years before starting her private practice. During her fellowship training, Dr. Moideen started focusing on Women’s Mental Health. As an attending physician at VCU Health, she helped start the first Women’s Mental Health specialty resident teaching clinic at VCU Department of Psychiatry. She has expertise in working with women who face increased demands and unique challenges during periods of life and reproductive transitions, career, and parenthood. She also treats a variety of mental health conditions and has experience providing care in diverse settings. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; she is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. She has served as the President of Virginia Psychiatric Society (district branch of the APA) from 2021-2022 and she is also a past president of Richmond Psychiatric Society 2016-2017.
