Hello! My name is Sherry McCoy and I am an ANCC-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. I have been working in this role since 2011. Prior to 2011, I spent many years working as an RN. I treat patients with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, grief, and many other psychiatric issues. I enjoy helping people achieve the best possible version of themselves! When I see a new patient for the first time, I like to get to know them. I ask questions both about your history and your future treatment goals in order to help you identify the most appropriate treatment plan possible. MEDICATION PRESCRIBING: Thriveworks providers do not prescribe opioid use disorder medications, weight-loss medications, injectable psychiatric medications, long-term benzodiazepines, or sleep medications, though these may be prescribed short-term for existing clients when clinically appropriate. Controlled substances, including ADHD stimulants, are available only in select states.
