About Dr. Shishir Gupta

I believe your primary care doctor should be the physician you turn to first—not simply someone you see once a year for a physical. I founded Kennesaw Primary Care to offer a more personal approach to adult primary care: unrushed visits, continuity with a physician who knows your history, and accessibility when something comes up. My approach is practical, thorough, and focused on the long term. I help patients prevent illness, improve heart and metabolic health, and manage chronic conditions while using medications thoughtfully and minimizing them whenever safely possible. I also have a particular interest in obesity and the medical conditions that often accompany it. Whenever appropriate, I manage concerns directly in primary care rather than sending patients through unnecessary referrals and appointments. When a specialist is needed, I stay involved so your care remains coordinated and someone is always looking at the bigger picture. My goal is to understand what matters to you, explain your options clearly, and build a plan that is realistic for your life. Your first visit may last up to an hour, giving us time to understand your concerns, answer your questions, and develop a clear plan together. Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active, traveling, watching college football (Go Dawgs!), and flying as a private pilot. **Self-pay patients are welcome:** $200 for a new patient visit, $150 for an established patient visit, and $125 for virtual visits for both new and established patients.
