About Sik Chi Chan
Acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, and massage therapist Sik Chi Stanley Chan is a native of Hong Kong who moved to the United States in 1996. He received his Bachelor of Science in Oriental Medicine (2000) and Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (2001) from Bastyr University, one of only seven naturopathic medical schools accredited by the U.S. Department of Education and recognized as a pioneer in the field. As a licensed Washington State East Asian Medicine Practitioner, Stanley began practicing in Seattle in 2002 after graduation and specializes in Chinese acupuncture, herbs, and both Chinese (Tui Na) and Swedish massage. In addition, he holds national board certification as a Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology (NCCAOM)-a mark of excellence and integrity in the field of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Stanley also collaborated with Hoy Ping Yee Chan, Seattle author and acupuncturist, along with several other expert contributors, to compile and translate documents for the book *Acupuncture for Stroke Rehabilitation – Three Decades of Information in China* (Blue Poppy Press). Published in June 2006, the manuscript draws from numerous clinical trials to analyze evidence supporting the effective use of acupuncture in stroke treatment. This book now serves as a clinical reference for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine practitioners worldwide.
Stanley's main focus revolves around using acupuncture, Chinese herbology, dietary and lifestyle changes, and massage to address health issues, approaching treatment from a holistic perspective. In accordance with Traditional Chinese Medicine, he treats both the symptoms and the root causes of a condition, tailoring treatment to the stage of the condition rather than applying a “cure-all” solution.

Effectiveness of the treatment. I came in with a hamstring strain. The strain is getting better especially with the 2nd visit as a T.E.M.S. electrical stimulation was connected. the electrical pulsation has helped quite a bit and is getting progressively better. Looking forward to my additional follow up treatments.
I was a bit apprehensive before the first treatment as I'm "not a fan of needles" per se. The insertion of the needles were quick and painless NOT A BIG DEAL! I was quite relieved with the application. Dr was very thorough. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

I'd been dealing with knee pain, and I decided to see Dr. Chan.
Not only did he apply acupuncture and cupping treatments, but he also educated me with some cooking techniques and methods to reduce inflammation in my body.
Thanks to Dr. Chan, now I'm pain free and was happy to find him so that I can access to treatment anytime that I have issues from now.

I went in for acupuncture for severe nerve pain. After going in to see Sik Chi Stanley Chan, I now have relief in my shoulder, arm, neck, and back. I appreciated the time he spent talking with me during the consultation, the herbal mixture he created for my wellness, and the links he sent for changing some of my dietary needs to alleviate my inflammation more quickly.

I didn't know what to expect for my first acupuncture appointment but I'm very happy with how it went! I have fibromyalgia and have been trying alternatives to western medicines. He actually reviewed my intake forms, unlike the normal doctors I see, and explained my treatment plan very clearly.
My third appointment is tomorrow and I am already very happy with my personalized treatment plan with the lifestyle changes and Chinese herbs he put together for me.

Dr. Stanley Chan is amazing! I prefer a holistic approach for health. He eased my anxiety of acupuncture treatment and accommodated by providing gentle acupuncture without electrodes, cupping and massage, along with herbal wellness remedy that helps with overall health.
I came in for low back pain, diabetes, gastroparesis, stress, anxiety, depression and lack of sleep.
Treatments have helped improve my overall health and can feel the healing difference.

Dr. Took his time to really get to know me and my pain level. We discussed diet and the food that cause inflammation and how to avoid them. He then texted my recipe and ways to cook the food to lessen inflammation.

Stanley is amazingly thorough in taking the time to understand any health issues or concerns you have. I've been seeing him for almost a year and always feel like I'm floating on a cloud when I leave. I recently went for back pain and after two sessions my back was good as new.
