About Dr. Spencer Kroll

Spencer Kroll, MD, PhD, FNLA, is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Specialist and a nationally recognized expert in cholesterol and lipid diseases. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Lipidology. Dr. Kroll is a co-author of *The Ozempic Diet*. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University. Prior to this, he was a Howard Hughes Scholar at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he completed his PhD in Pharmacology and a Master’s degree in Biostatistics. Dr. Kroll hosted the podcast series *This Week In Cholesterol* and has served as Principal Investigator for numerous clinical trials. He has authored many research articles and appeared as a guest expert on several medical shows, including ReachMD—The Channel for Medical Professionals—focusing on cholesterol and lipid disorders. He is also a contributing author representing the National Lipid Association on Sharecare, Dr. Mehmet Oz’s platform connecting patients with medical experts. Recognized as a thought leader in new clinical treatments for cholesterol disorders, including PCSK9 inhibitors, Dr. Kroll has contributed extensively to research in this area. He has been honored as a New Jersey Top Doc for many years, including 2020, and has repeatedly received the Compassionate Doctor Award.
