About Dr. Stamatina Adams
Dr. Stamatina Adams is an accomplished hospitalist with a distinguished international and U.S.-based career in internal medicine. A graduate who led the class in the Hippocratic Oath at the University of Patras School of Medicine in Greece, Dr. Adams brings more than two decades of clinical, academic, and volunteer experience to her latest role at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, Texas, where she currently serves as a full-time hospitalist.
After completing her medical degree in 1996, Dr. Adams began her career with a rotary internship across multiple specialties at the University Hospital of Rio Patras. Her academic excellence was recognized early, as she was ranked at the top of her class by the National Scholarship Foundation. She later pursued extensive clinical training and residency in the United States, completing her Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in New York (2017–2020).
Following her residency, Dr. Adams was a full-time hospitalist at several institutions, including San Juan Regional Medical Center in New Mexico and St. Joseph Health–CHI in Bryan and College Station, Texas. She continues to serve in PRN roles at Baylor Grapevine, St. Joseph Health, and San Juan Regional Medical Center, demonstrating her strong commitment to community health.
In addition to her robust clinical background, Dr. Adams has a deep commitment to medical research. She held postdoctoral fellowships at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and UT Southwestern Medical Center, where her work focused on insulin secretion, pancreatic beta cell function, and islet cell biology.

Dr. Adams is a GREAT listener and extremely sweet! She was so attentive and genuinely cared for my concerns. As someone who has spent her entire life searching for a primary care doctor that actually listens, I can't recommend Dr Adams enough. I spent half my life being told that everything was my weight, and after I lost that, it then became anxiety and nothing else, regardless of how many times I begged for answers.
Dr Adams listened. I am currently going through a battery of tests that have been denied me for years. I am finally hopeful that the symptoms I've been pleading with doctors to look into since my teenage years are going to lead to a diagnosis. It also really helps that her staff are great at reaching out and communicating about follow up appointments and tests. Bonus points for opening early at 8.

My goodness, Dr. Adams is a god-send! I feel so lucky to have found her. She is now seeing my husband and myself for PCP care. She is so smart, warm, attentive, and thorough! They are quick to send referrals. And they can do so much in office like labs and x-rays. This office and doctor are a blessing! I am already recommending her to friends and family.

Dr. Adams was great. After years of telling the same story to multiple doctors, Dr. Adams was the first and only one who actually listened to me.
