Stella Abaaba, APRN

Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
WA
I’m a Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of experience in medical practice, specializing in ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns. Over the years, I’ve worked in both primary care and outpatient psychiatric clinics, which has given me the opportunity to support people from many different backgrounds. These experiences taught me that healing doesn’t come from a one-size-fits-all plan—it comes from listening closely, building trust, and tailoring care to each person’s unique needs. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and holistic. I focus on treating the whole person—not just the symptoms—so you can build resilience and lasting change. Together we will uncover what’s holding you back, create a plan that feels realistic and supportive, and develop tools to help you manage challenges with confidence. My clients describe me as warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They often share that I listen without judgment, explain things clearly, and make them feel truly supported and understood. Working with me means having a safe, nonjudgmental space where your voice guides the process. I’ll walk alongside you with compassion, respect, and encouragement as you take steps toward healing and growth. I accept new patients and can usually see you within 48 hours. ADHD testing is available. If you’re ready to begin the journey toward feeling better, I invite you to reach out—I’d be honored to support you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you meet with me, you can expect a calm, supportive environment where you’re heard without judgment. My approach is patient-centered and collaborative. I take the time to understand your story, your goals, and what has been standing in your way. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive, solution-focused therapy to help you make steady, lasting progress. Together, we’ll build a plan that fits your needs and helps you feel balanced, confident, and in control of your mental wellness.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, I take time to get to know you- not just your symptoms, but your story, background, and what you hope to achieve. We’ll talk about what’s been challenging, review your medical and mental health history, and begin developing a treatment plan that feels right for you. I may recommend medication, supportive therapy, or both, depending on your needs. Follow-up sessions focus on progress and adjustment. We’ll discuss how you’re feeling, what’s working, and where we can fine-tune your care. My process is always collaborative and supportive, with space for open communication and trust. The goal is to help you feel better, stay balanced, and build the tools to maintain long-term well-being.
