“I have been going to Dr Carmichael for over 30 years. She is the best GYN thus far . She is very personable and really cares about her patients. She not only discuss wellness but she asks about you and your family to make sure everything is good. She gives great advice. I must also gives praises of compliments to her staff. I have known Sadie for about the same amount of time. She is Dr Carmichael right hand and she is such a great sweet person and also gives great advice on how to stay healthy. Last but definitely not least I must speak on the reception Vanna, when you first enter the office she lights up the front desk area with the brightest smile. She has a genuine great personality. She is very personable and very efficient with her work. She process you In quickly so your wait time is very minimal. Kudos to Dr Carmichael and her AMAZING staff!!!!!!”

Dr. Stephanie Carmichael cofounded Total Women's Health and Wellness Center Inc. in 2006. She has 7 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina and completed her residency at Emory University. Dr. Carmicheal also was a faculty member at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she served as a clinical instructor for three years before entering private practice. Dr. Carmichael is especially interested in helping women achieve healthy lifestyles. She feels strongly that incorporating healthy eating habits and regular exercise are vital keys to creating a strong foundation of health and wellness. She is also interested in helping women become aware of the alternative therapies for management of common gynecological problems, such as fibroids and abnormal bleeding. She performs the in office sterilization procedure, Essure, as well as several other in office procedures.
Dr. Carmichael is the mother of 4 who understands the importance of choosing a healthcare provider who is sensitive to each woman's uniqueness. She strives to provide the highest quality and compassionate care in an environment that promotes the doctor and patient working together to optimize wellness.
