About Dr. Stephen Carney
Note: Dr. Carney will no longer see any patients under 40 years of age-no exceptions.
Dr. Carney is an exceptional MD with a demonstrated history of working with patients from all backgrounds. He has a small but busy private practice and is skilled in diagnosis and treatment, preventive care, and acute care. He served as a flight surgeon in the USAF and is experienced in caring for patients of diverse backgrounds, including veterans. With over 30 years in practice, he also has a strong interest in genomic medicine.
His staff is exceptionally caring and proficient. He received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Drexel University (formerly Hahnemann University School of Medicine).

Felt uncomfortable during the visit. He immediately started questioning me like a cop. Once he let his guard down, he started trying to crack jokes. However, his jokes were unprofessional and not even good. He also seems to be very forgetful. Would not recommend him.

We are from Dallas TX and needed a Doctor to take care of my daughter. On line appointment is good. Service is fast. My daughter becomes better and we can continue our family’s vacation. First time I tried this on line appointment and it worked well. The doctor is excellent. Dr Stephen Carney is a very good doctor according to my daughter. Best of all it is in my insurance network.

Dr. Carney was extremely rude and unprofessional with me. Dr. Carney asked me if I was employed. I responded that yes, I was and when he asked what I did for a living, I responded with the details of my employment with a small non-profit. He then asked if that work was "paid" and I said yes. Then he asked if I had insurance (even though I had already registered and paid the copay with the person at the front desk). I was confused but once again, said yes, I do have insurance. Then he said, "But is it real insurance?" I didn't understand what he meant, so I asked him "What do you mean by 'real' insurance?" and he said "Well some people come in here and lie about having insurance." I have Blue Cross Blue Shield.
These were just a few of the offensive comments that Dr. Carney made during our appointment (the others were private and related to my visit).
