About Dr. Stephen Goodman

Dr. Goodman is a board-certified gastroenterologist known for his compassionate care and clinical expertise in managing a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. He received his undergraduate education at Yeshiva University and earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, one of the nation’s leading institutions for medical training and research. Dr. Goodman completed his internship at Northwell Health’s Long Island Jewish Medical Center, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. He further advanced his training through a fellowship in gastroenterology at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. With special interests in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, Dr. Goodman provides comprehensive care for patients with complex inflammatory bowel disease. His clinical scope also includes the evaluation and treatment of conditions such as acid reflux, gastrointestinal cancers, liver disease, pancreatitis, and functional GI disorders. He holds attending physician appointments at both Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and Montefiore Nyack Hospital, where he is an active member of the medical staff and contributes to ongoing improvements in GI care and patient outcomes.
