About Dr. Stephen Malachowski
Dr. Malachowski completed medical school at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine where he was elected to the Robert A. Good Honor Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society (AOA). In this role, he served as both the chair of the Scholarship and Endowment Committee and the vice president for AOA. During the final year of his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, he served as a co-chief resident. He subsequently joined the Vanderbilt Department of Dermatology as an assistant professor before returning home to the Tampa Bay area.
His clinical interests include atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, melanoma, squamous cell skin cancer, and basal cell skin cancer. In addition to publishing in peer-reviewed dermatology journals, such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), he has presented at the annual meeting for the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and he currently serves on the JAAD Editorial Board. As a USF alumnus, he has also volunteered with the Robert A. Good Honor Society applicant selection committee.
Outside of clinic, he enjoys fishing, reading, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family.
