“EXCELLENT. It was a bit of a struggle to convince Dr. Schinpper that my decades of chronic inflammation might actually be low-grade MCAS, but as soon as I mentioned salicylates, and that I got headaches shortly after eating apples but not after other sugary foods, and that ibuprofen didn't help at all but kratom did — he kind of lit up and prescribed Singulair, which seems brilliant, looking further into this.. leukotrienes! they can drive chronic inflammation and pain, do not respond to NSAIDS, and go undetected even if they're pouring gasoline on many fires they hide behind.
I believe this is emerging research and a lot more people will discover they have histamine or salicylate intolerance that is masked by their exacerbating many other conditions, from the skin problems to chronic pain
I learned this from DeepSeek, after uploading my health info it told me my lipoprotein might be high (IT WAS!) and that my pain may be from histamine/ salicylates

Dr. Schnipper has been providing personalized allergy and asthma care for more than twenty years. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. He further specialized with fellowships in Allergy and Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. As a board-certified allergist, he treats a wide variety of allergy problems, including hay fever, sinus issues, hives, food allergies, asthma, chronic cough, post-nasal drip, and insect allergies. His offices offer convenient early morning and late evening hours and participate in most health plans.
