About Sun Nguyen

Sun Nguyen is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners. Sun began her nursing career as a Surgical Trauma ICU nurse at a level one trauma center in Philadelphia after earning her Bachelor’s in Nursing degree in 2008 from Drexel University. As an RN, Sun played an active role as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and a member of the education, informatics, skin and unit committees. She became a nationally certified critical care nurse prior to her enrollment at La Salle University, where she earned her Masters of Science degree with a focus in Family Health. During her dermatology rotation in NP school, Sun confirmed her passion and enthusiasm for all things dermatology related. She enjoys working with patients, and strives to deliver the utmost quality of care. Sun believes she has the edge to link the gap between medicine and nursing by promoting optimal health and providing effective treatments in skin health. Sun treats patients ages 12 and up. In her spare time, Sun volunteers for the Philadelphia Medical Reserve Corps and the American Red Cross. She enjoys traveling, eating, snowboarding, and has recently picked up running with her first Broad Street Run under her belt. Most importantly, she loves spending time with her family including her 9 nieces and nephews and her small dog Porkchop.
