Getting to know Dr. Suragbhai Gohel

As a psychiatrist, I am always fascinated by the courage of my patients who seek mental health treatment against the odds of personal and cultural challenges. It inspires me to help my patients achieve the best mental healthcare which we all deserve. As our mental health is impacted by a multitude of factors including biological, psychological, and social, I personalize the treatment plan for each of my patients, so they can have a better outcome to live a quality life. I have extensive experience in treating anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, and ADHD. I graduated from UCLA affiliated residency training program, UCLA-Kern Psychiatry. I am originally from Gujarat, India where I completed my medical school from Saurashtra University. I also earned a Master's in Public Health with Epidemiology concentration (MPH-Epidemiology) to have a thorough understanding of clinical research and evidence-based practice. It gives me an extra edge when it comes to evidence-based practice and determining the most effective and safe treatment for my patients. I collaborate with my patients regarding their needs and preference when forming the holistic treatment plan to have the best possible outcome. I hope to support you in your emotional health journey, and I appreciate your courage to embark upon it.
