Nice to meet you! I am an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. My whole life, I have been someone who always wanted to help others, and today, maybe your day too! I approach mental healthcare in a way that helps me see the world from your eyes and your point of view. I’m open-minded, calm, and highly experienced in many avenues of mental healthcare, as well as having a tremendous history working as an RN and as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in Internal medicine. Some of the most common approaches to mental healthcare involve using motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral health therapy (CBT) for counseling in short sessions. You'll be surprised by the things we can accomplish together and, over a period of time help you live your best life! I can help you find yourself again in a world where so many people feel lost. We embark on an experience meant to help you feel your best and live your best every day. I typically work with ages from 13 yo thru 99 yo and have many years of life experience as well as professional experience to bring to the table when we talk. I’m comfortable treating anxiety, depression, insomnia, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD without the use of stimulants, and many more. We set the tone during our sessions with acceptance of how you’re feeling that day and things that you want to discuss. I am non-judgmental, caring, kind, and thoughtful about making decisions to help you reach your goals. We work together to define the goals for treatment and set timelines so that we can measure our progress. During our first session, I will ask questions that will help me get to know you, but at the same time, there’s no pressure. If you feel too stressed to talk about detailed situations right away, it’s OK. This will come with time and with trust. It is my goal to earn your trust so that we can find the answers to questions that can be confusing in today’s world.
