She also holds a special interest in women in the medical field and the reduction of health care disparities in medicine. In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Ramdhaney remains involved in academia. She serves as a Clinical Associate Professor and previously was a co-clerkship Director at St. George's University School of Medicine. She also serves as a Preceptor for the Nurse Practitioner Student Program at Long Island University of Brooklyn. In her professional community, Dr. Ramdhaney is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association and the American College of Physicians. She is also a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Ramdhaney has a long history of research and publications within her specialty and beyond. Her past research at Montreal Neurological Institute included investigating the role of cell adhesion molecules during muscle development in Muscular Dystrophy. Her clinical research at Maimonides Medical Center focused on the role of dextran in the prevention of post-ERCP pancreatitis.
