About Dr. Sushama Mody
Dr. Sushama Mody has been a provider in private practice since 2007 in New Jersey and New York City. She attended Amherst College, where she graduated in 1996, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Anthropology, concentrating in Medical Anthropology. She completed her master’s degree in Medical Sciences at Boston University prior to entering medical school at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Mody completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago, followed by a Rheumatology fellowship at Rush University Medical Center.
She served as the Chief of Rheumatology at Metropolitan Hospital from 2011 until 2014. She is certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. As a Rheumatologist, she specializes in diagnosing and treating autoimmune disorders and diseases that affect the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Mody currently practices in our Rheumatology department at our Bayonne, North Arlington, and North Bergen locations.
