About Dr. Suzette Barreto

My philosophy is to be compassionate and caring at all times. It's important to be there for you not only during illness but also when things are going well, so I can encourage good habits in your nutrition and support your ongoing health and wellness goals. I chose medicine because I wanted to help the sick and make them feel better. Throughout my career, I have been able to do much more than that by working to decrease the morbidity associated with many illnesses. My goal is to keep my patients and those around me in positive health. I have had the privilege of working with multi-generational families and being a source of comfort during trying times. I earned my medical degree from Goa Medical College, followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital. These experiences have shaped my approach to patient care and deepened my commitment to comprehensive health management. I volunteer with several ministries at St. Jane’s parish, including the food pantry, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and our parish health and wellness ministry. In my free time, I enjoy playing piano, volunteering, and practicing yoga.
