Dr. Khan was incredibly thorough and attentive during my visit. He took the time to ask about my full history, including previous diagnoses, past medications that were effective, and those that caused issues or simply didn’t work for me. What stood out most was that he truly listened. He wasn’t pushy, and he didn’t try to place me on medications that I already knew were not a good fit based on past experiences.
Unfortunately, I’ve encountered providers who insist on retrying medications “to see for themselves,” even when the medication caused negative side effects or was ineffective. Dr. Khan respected my lived experience and medical history, which made me feel heard and validated.
For anyone seeking psychiatric care, that kind of trust and understanding is essential. It means avoiding unnecessary suffering from medications you already know aren’t right for you—and Dr. Khan truly understands that. I’m grateful for his thoughtful, patient-centered approach.
