Hi there, I'm Tamara! Hello. My name is Tamara Starr. I would like to share that I have dual national certifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health NP as well as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I provide medication management in conjunction with brief psychotherapy and lifestyle enhancement strategies, using an integrative treatment plan model for the mental and behavioral health management of clients across the lifespan. Working together to create life-long strategies to help the Client be the best version of themselves. My approach My approach to therapy utilizes Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Cognitive Processing (CPT), Culturally Sensitive, Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Strength-Based, and Supportive. I focus on key recovery concepts as the foundation for mental health recovery: hope, support, personal responsibility, self-advocacy, and education My focus I am best positioned to serve those motivated towards feeling and living better and open to working together on a plan to live your best life now! I have experience working with ADHD, Alcohol Use, Anger Management, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Family Conflict, Impulse Control Disorders, Intellectual Disability, Mood Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD), Oppositional Defiance, Peer Relationships, Psychosis, Relationship Issues, Self Esteem, Sleep or Insomnia, Spirituality, Stress, Suicidal Ideation, Weight Loss, Autism or Asperger's Syndrome, Cultural Stress, and Thought Disorders.
