Dr. Tammy Atkinson, Doctor of Chiropractic and Functional Medicine Practitioner, is the clinical director of Chiropractic Pain & Injury Center and has nearly 20 years of experience helping patients discover the root causes of their pain. A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Atkinson made a pivotal career change after realizing her corporate work in San Francisco wasn’t making the meaningful difference she sought. She then chose to pursue chiropractic medicine, where she found her true calling in helping individuals regain their health and vitality. Dr. Atkinson’s commitment to exceptional patient care is evident in her extensive advanced training. She has completed over 125 hours (AMA Category 1) from The Institute For Functional Medicine and is currently pursuing certification, while also training in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute. The focus of her training is to blend chiropractic care, functional medicine, and functional neurology to provide effective solutions to patients with both acute and chronic pain. Her education also includes advanced certifications in MRI interpretation, spinal biomechanics, disc injuries, and trauma care from the Academy of Chiropractic, where she has been recognized as a clinician of excellence.
