About Dr. Tanya Bhattacharya
Dr. Tanya Bhattacharya is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in complex medical dermatology, skin cancer detection and treatment, and management of conditions including, but not limited to, rashes, acne, eczema, and psoriasis. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and completed her dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. As a physician, Dr. Bhattacharya strives to provide patients with the best care possible by listening to their needs and understanding what it is like to be in their shoes. Having suffered from acne and other dermatologic conditions growing up, she knows how frustrating these issues can be to deal with. Together, she teams up with her patients to find the best course of treatment that fits their lifestyle and budget.

Terrible experience . I was stuck in traffic and called ahead about being 10 minutes late, but the staff refused to let me in. Took half a day off work for nothing. Zero flexibility or understanding—very disappointing service!

I would highly recommend Dr. Bhattacharya. She was very thorough and took her time checking my many freckles and moles. She explained everything and was careful with the biopsy. She will be my top choice for the future.

They don’t seem to care about new patients. Waited 40 minutes to see the doctor for a 7:40am appointment (early enough that they shouldn’t have been running behind). Doctor did a biopsy, took 8 days playing phone tag to finally get my results and when I finally got a hold of someone, the nurse ran through my results in under a minute and promptly hung up. Good thing my biopsy was fine, I don’t plan on going back.

When you have a telemedicine appointment and you have to wait 40 minutes for the provider to see you something is seriously wrong. If I were 40 minutes late there would be a late charge.

This was a great tele-health experience, but I did have a few concerns. There was little communication about how long I'd be waiting after my scheduled appointment time (9:40) - my appointment started around 10:05. I also was discouraged by the frequent mention of birth control after specifically saying I wasn't interested. I would have appreciated if I'd been asked at the beginning of the appointment about my birth control preferences/sexual history before recommending things I wasn't comfortable with.

Super thorough in her examination. I’ve had dermatologists in the past just glance over when looking for moles but she was awesome. Took her time and explained why the one we ended up biopsy needed to be looked at.

Definitely Recommend Dr. Bhattacharya. Take it from me, I am an adult still dealing with acne/ingrown hairs/scarring. I have been to countless dermatologists in my life, so I feel I have a strong gauge on who's good and who's not. I wanted to go to Dr. Bhattacharya because I researched she went to a reputable school, was young and might have new views and research on skin, and looked to be a sensitive listener. I was right. She listened to my history, concerns, and plan for the future. The skin type you are born with is out of your control, but take the initiative and make an appointment with Dr. Bhattacharya to make a plan for success. Thank you.
