Dr. Tara Rainey is passionate about mental health and dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals struggling with psychiatric disorders. She is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients. Her journey into mental health care began with a strong educational foundation. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Westminster University School of Nursing and Health Sciences. She went on to pursue advanced education at the University of Utah and received a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, specializing in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. She holds a certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and maintains active licensure to practice in the state of Utah.
My approach
Tara believes in a patient-centered approach to mental health care. Her goal is to collaborate with her patients and develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs to promote mental wellness and increased quality of life. She is driven by a deep sense of compassion and commitment to improving the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges and looks forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of her patients and within the community.
My focus
Tara has had the privilege of learning and working in various healthcare settings, including psychiatric hospitals, private practices, within the LGBTQ+ and special needs communities, and with grief and loss. These diverse experiences have allowed her to offer well-rounded, evidence-based care. She is comfortable treating ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, etc.
