About Dr. Tarek Bardawil

Dr. Tarek Bardawil is a board-certified gynecologist practicing in Miami, Florida. His expertise is in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery and in treating fibroids, abnormal bleeding, endometriosis and pelvic pain and offers a wide range of up-to-date services to his patients of all age groups.
He received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut (Lebanon) School of Medicine in 1999 and then he did a Research Fellowship in Gene Therapy research at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.
In 2007, Dr. Bardawil completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and received the SLS Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Award. He then moved to Miami, where he served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine until 2018.
During his tenure, Dr. Bardawil also pursued an executive MBA in Health Sector Management and Policy at the University of Miami School of Business and received a Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society Award recognizing Business Excellence.
He established and served as Director of Fibroid Clinic at the University of Miami until 2018. He previously served as Director of the HIV Gynecology Clinic at Jackson Memorial Hospital and was the Team leader for the Committee of Excellence in Gynecology Infectious Disease.
Dr. Bardawil is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. He is a reviewer for the medical journals Current Oncology and Infectious Diseases in Clinical Practice, and an academic editor for the journal Medicine.
