Dr. Delaney is by far one of the best doctors I have ever met (and I've seen a lot of doctors, unfortunately). He is great at clearly explaining your situation and next steps. His knowledge is impressive, of course, but what really put me at ease was his incredible bedside manner. He picked up that I like humor and made my appointment not only tolerable, but actually enjoyable!

Dr. Delaney is a specialist in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine and joint replacement surgery. He received his M.D. from New York Medical College in 1986 and went on to do a surgical internship at St. Luke's Hospital/Columbia University in New York. He completed a four year orthopedic residency at Catholic Medical Center/Cornell University in 1992. During this time he trained in spinal reconstruction and pediatric orthopedics at NYU/Hospital for Joint Diseases as well as an advanced AO fracture and trauma course. He then completed a one year Joint Replacement Fellowship at Stanford University in PaloAlto . He has been in private practice in Los Gatos, California since 1993.
Dr. Delaney is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons www.aaos.org and is Board Certified by the American board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. www.abos.org.
Dr. Delaney maintains current with the latest in orthopedic techniques by attending lectures and seminars on a regular basis. He is one of the first physicians in the area to treat patients with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy and the only Orthopedic Surgeon in the area who regularly implants the Biomet Signature Custom Knee Prosthesis. In addition Dr Delaney has been trained in and performs the Oxford Unicompartmental Knee, The Birmingham Hip Resurfacing and routinely utilizes Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) techniques.
Dr. Delaney has training in as well as extensive experience performing advanced arthroscopic surgical techniques including Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) repair, meniscus transplant, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and cartilage replacement procedures. He serves as team physician and orthopedic consultant to several area high schools, semi pro and club sports teams.

Dr. Delaney is exacting, experienced, thorough, kind... I cannot list all the positive adjectives that come to mind. He fixed my detached tendons several years ago; they are 100% now. I've been back to see him for myself and my 2 sons whenever we needed orthopedic attention, and I was never disappointed with his treatment. I have also referred several of my friends.

I highly recommend Dr. Delaney. I made an appointment for pain I was experiencing in my shoulder and down my arm. I am a fitness trainer and coach and was worried it was something serious. Dr. Delaney did a thorough exam, and I appreciated that an x-ray could be done right there. HIs staff is helpful, kind and organized. After a diagnosis of shoulder cuff bursitis and a cortisone shot, I felt immediate relief. Could not be happier!! Thank you so much!

I first saw Dr. Delaney 10 years ago for a knee replacement. At that time his office was hectic and he didn't seem too spend much time with me. It was short. The replacement recovery was a nightmare, but ultimately, my new knee is great. This latest visit was for my other knee, but he x-rayed both and the prosthetic is in perfect condition. My other knee will need replacement soon. Dr. Delaney's office is no longer hectic. He spent a lot of time with me going over everyting and answering ALL of my questions. He explained the new techniques for surgery, prosthetics and pain management in real detail. I'm much more comfortable with him and recommend him.
