About Terri St. Clair

Growing up in Central Illinois, I always had a deep connection to community and caring for others. After completing my family nurse practitioner program through Walden University in 2017, I relocated to the Charlotte area in 2019 and have been proud to call it home ever since. My path to becoming a family nurse practitioner was anything but a straight line, which is something I consider as a strength. My healthcare background spans a wide range of roles, including monitor tech on a cardiac floor, certified medical assistant, emergency room transport, pharmacy technician and charge nurse. Each of those experiences gave me a different vantage point into what patients and families go through, and that perspective shapes how I approach care every single day. At Novant Health, my priority is working with patients and their families to ensure their desires and values are honored and that they are active participants in their own care plan. My goal is simple: to care for each patient the way I would want to be cared for myself. That means listening first, asking questions and making sure every person who walks through the door feels seen and respected. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, in our lively household that includes four dogs and two cats. If I'm not on a spontaneous road trip, I might be getting comfortable with a good movie or doing a little therapeutic shopping.
