Getting to know Dr. Thaddeus Garland

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience treating patients across the lifespan. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Augusta University, completed my Residency in Psychiatry at Nassau University Medical Center, and pursued a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Georgetown University. In 2022, once my caseload became full, I founded a small practice, Tandem Telehealth, where I now oversee a talented team of psychiatric nurse practitioners and talk therapists. This team approach allows us to provide faster access to care for new patients and a higher level of support than you would likely receive from individuals working independently. What should a new client know about working with you?

I founded Tandem with a singular goal of simplifying access to behavioral health services. I'm very involved with the day-to-day operations at Tandem and work with each of our providers on a regular basis. We focus on providers who connect with patients and are truly passionate about mental health. All Tandem providers come highly recommended from both their peers and patients alike. Patient satisfaction is our North Star at Tandem.

I can't thank Dr. Garland enough for helping me get back on my feet after I experienced life changing trauma. He is one in a million, knows exactly how to help and he's extremely compassionate. If you need a psychiatrist you should definitely reach out to him to begin your healing, you will be amazed at how much better you can feel!

Dr. Garland is sensitive and understanding. He is an expert at diagnosing and providing medication management for sometimes fluctuating symptoms. He listens carefully at each appointment and he has made me feel very comfortable in his care. I can't recommend him highly enough and I feel grateful that he is my doctor.
Everyone at Dr. Garland's office is responsive and works together to help me keep up with my medications. I think the huge difference between their office and other, super big, offices is that they can attend to my needs and actually understand who I am and what's going on with my treatment. Dr. Garland is so knowledgeable about medications and he finds a way to make me feel normal again. Hands down the very best mental health doctor and compassionate team I know.

I appreciate how competent and reliable Dr. garland is when he says he's going to do something he does it. I do not receive good service like this at several other offices, and one business that I deal with on a weekly basis if he could only train some of these places, what a breath of fresh air that would be. Example-while I'm typing this, he just sent me the documents. I asked for 20 minutes ago. How is that for Service?

Dr. Garland is sinks the best. He is the most understanding and trustworthy person you could ever ask for with dealing with mental health. His staff is absolutely amazing as well. I can't praise them enough. Please if you need mental health assistance, seek this group out.!
My work will be switching us to a different insurance company in the new year, and Dr. Garland does not accept it, so unfortunately I am going to have to switch doctors. I wrote that my experience with the video platform has been fair, because during the last few appointments that I have had with Dr. Garland we have had issues with the video platform.
