About Thalia Kazakos Resh
Thalia Kazakos is a licensed acupuncturist in New York. EDUCATION & BACKGROUND
Thalia earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts in 2011. After graduation she went on to work in sustainable agriculture, expanding her focus to human health and holistic medicine through the cultivation and production of phyto-therapeutics. She studied and worked in medical mycology which has a long standing heritage in East Asian and Traditional Medicine. She graduated with her Master of Acupuncture degree and Chinese Herbal Studies Certificate from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in September 2021. Attending a Five Element Acupuncture school instilled a deep understanding of the nature based synergism and esoteric components of Eastern Medicine. She strives to integrate traditional strategies with biomedical knowledge in order to increase quality of care and clinical outcomes. She will graduate from Pacific College of Health Sciences in 2023 with her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
In addition to studying and working in life sciences Thalia has been a dancer and athlete her entire life. She began teaching dance in 2010 and performing with an aerial troupe in 2012. In June, 2017 she completed a 200 hr yoga teacher training and became a certified barre instructor the following year. Through her personal and professional experience she has developed extensive skills and strategies for functional pain management, treatment of musculoskeletal issues and integrative sports medicine; including approaches that support the mind body connection and nourish the spirit.
