Getting to know Dr. Tiffany Arnold
I am a board certified Psychiatrist who earned my MD at LSU Shreveport where I also completed my residency training in Adult Psychiatry. I completed two fellowships at UCSF in Public Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. I believe that it is my job to teach my patients about their mental health options and remain a curious about learning their story and background to ensure a collaborative approach when treatment planning.
What should a new client know about working with you?
There are psychological and social factors that need to be considered and it's not about shoving pills at a person. It is my belief that a holistic approach is key towards long term change. I believe it is privilege to provide care to my patients, and I never want to rush the process. I want my patients to feel like they are being seen and heard. My priority is providing quality mental health care. I am very passionate about education as I know that navigating the healthcare system can be daunting.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
You can expect for me to treat you with compassion, respect, and kindness. My goal is for the patient to feel comfortable and empowered. We are working together on your healing journey. Patients leave appointments with me feeling like their understanding and comfort are taken into consideration.

I had my initial virtual appointment with Dr. Tiffany Arnold this morning. She even started the appointment early since she had observed that I was already waiting on Zoom. Her demeanor was warm, inviting and I felt as if I found a friend. She is a great listener and wanted to know about me as a person, rather than just a patient. She and I agreed that one hour was not sufficient for her to complete her discovery, and even though she had compassion knowing I was paying out of pocket, since I am on Medicare, and even though a follow up visit is shorter in time and cost, she suggested that we book an hour for our next visit, which I agreed to. I am looking forward to working with her in hopes of a positive outcome.

Dr. Arnold's approach to helping is patient based. She seeks to know the person and does not judge. She explains the theory of psychiatric treatment allowing the patient to understand the concept. She invites you to interrupt with any thoughts regardless of the topic being discussed. I personally belief that she is among the best MD's that I have ever met. I don’t know where to start. It’s a Godsend that I was able to find a great psychiatrist like Dr. Arnold.
Today was my first visit via online and everything to get logged in was smooth and easy.
Dr. Arnold was a pleasure to speak with. She was very knowledgeable and and took the time to get to know me.
When it came to creating a plan for me she was very informative in regards to my current medications and our plan of attack going forward. I’m very thankful for finding such an amazing Doctor.

I was disappointed that I was texted that I'd receive a link for the video appointment via email, but it never arrived. I called the number which told me to log into the portal. But as soon as I logged into the portal it forced me to take a ten minute survey before I could navigate elsewhere. I now know to just log into the portal ahead of time, instead of waiting for an email that will never arrive.
