About Tiffany Carreno
I was born and raised in Jackson Heights, Queens. As a Latina interested in the field of medicine, I was eager to also learn about the social inequalities that affect health outcomes, so I earned my bachelor’s degree in public health at Rutgers University in 2018. After working as a medical assistant and falling in love with the role of a Physician assistant, I decided to obtain my master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Canisius College in 2023

Poor communication between the nurse and the doctor. I was told to get undressed for my exam, and when the doctor came in, she did not examine me at all. I had to talk to the doctor half naked.

I would never recommend this facility or this doctor. There is absolutely no respect for patient confidentiality. While I was at the front desk waiting to get paperwork scanned, the staff loudly discussed another patient who had been in front of me and was sitting in the waiting room with me prior. They actually said, “Where’s the patient with the mental issues and fibroids and other stuff ?” right there in public. That kind of personal information should never be said out loud in front of others. It was unethical, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I will never return.
As for the doctor (or PA), I wouldn’t recommend her either especially to women who are coming in with real concerns. I felt rushed, dismissed, and unheard. It honestly felt like she just wanted to get through the appointment as quickly as possible so she could go back and chat with coworkers. I highly don’t recommend her.
