I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctoral Degree in Nursing (DNP). I currently provide telehealth services to clients aged 18 years and older in the state of Maine. I take a holistic approach to mental health that integrates both medical and therapeutic interventions to support clients' emotional and psychological well-being. I incorporate evidence-based practices to diagnose mental health disorders, provide brief supportive therapy, and prescribe medications to manage symptoms effectively.
My approach to mental healthcare focuses on helping clients recognize negative thought patterns and behaviors in order to develop a client-centered treatment plan. I take into account biological, psychological, and social factors while also exploring unconscious emotions and past experiences that may impact their current mental health.
I strive to support clients with both acute and chronic mental health conditions in managing symptoms that can make daily life challenging. My specialties include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder, co-occurring substance use & psychological disorders, PTSD, postpartum depression, ADHD, and eating disorders.
I make every effort to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe and heard. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, ensuring that each person feels empowered in their treatment journey. I balance professionalism with a compassionate, down-to-earth style, making sessions feel comfortable and approachable. Working with me means having a trusted partner who listens with empathy, provides evidence-based guidance, and helps navigate challenges with understanding and respect.
