About Dr. Timothy Henderson
Dr. Timothy Henderson is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with a broad range of clinical specialties, which includes anterior minimally invasive hip replacement surgery – a technique that spares muscles and tendons and minimizes the risk of postoperative weakness or dislocations. Other areas of expertise include outpatient total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, sports medicine including ACL reconstruction, orthopedic trauma and general orthopedic care for adults and children.
A native of Livingston, Dr. Henderson has been providing surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care for a diverse patient population for more than a decade. He is passionate about staying abreast of the technological advances in his field and he shares this expertise with patients, families, colleagues, medical students, and to those in need.
Dr. Henderson achieved his fellowship at the prestigious University of California in Los Angeles with a focus on sub-specialty care in sports medicine and arthroscopy, treating many of UCLA’s intercollegiate athletes. During his residency at one of the top Orthopedic programs, Emory University in Atlanta, GA, he was chosen amongst his peers to serve as chief resident. This followed his formal medical education, which began at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. A leader in his field, Dr. Henderson has served as chief of Orthopedics Surgery in numerous hospitals.
With career interests in international outreach, Dr. Henderson was part of the medical mission relief trip to Haiti following the 2010 earthquake. He is also passionate about youth education and has helped students at Morehouse School of Medicine gain exposure into the field.
