Looking after the residents of Oakland Park, FL, Mr. Timothy McDowell is a caring and enthusiastic nurse practitioner. Mr. McDowell received his bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University and completed his master's degree in nursing at Maryville University. He holds active memberships in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of HIV Medicine, and the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care.

I wasted almost 2 hours of my day to attend an appointment that was not valid in the office. I was told I needed to wait for a scheduling coordinator to reach out to schedule me before coming in for the appointment I scheduled and confirmed online. Very confusing. Very much a wasted of my time.

They are wonderful people at Midland stuck with a sub-par electronic medical record/practice management software package. For example, the practitioner clearly took what he thought was an action that would open the "Patient Portal" so that I could see my own labs. In fact, most of the visit was about doing just this one thing. The visit was at 9:30am today. I just opened another window, went through the so-called "Patient Portal," an action that takes more keystrokes that probably appropriate, and, as expected, the lab results are not available for my review. I cannot recommend Midland Medical to anyone at this time because they simply have too many software issues that interfere with communication.

My only complaint is that Zocdoc has limited compatibility with Apple and the patient receives multiple prompts to test connectivity. Today, using a 2000 MacBook Air and macOS Big Sir all went well. I did have a chat with Apple Support and we prepped privacy settings for the call: Microphone On, Camera On. Timothy McDowell, NP has a natural screen presence, as does John Jones, MD.

My first visit with Tim McDowell was excellent! He was very attentive and showed a real personal interest in my concerns. He listened carefully and had good eye contact. He was knowledgeable about medications and gave me sound advice. I realize this is what may be expected from a medical professional but this type of professionalism has not been my experience. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a compassionate medical professional.
