Patient reviews for Dr. Timothy Wong
Very good overall. The only issue is the wait time.
He was professional, thorough, reassuring, and patient. I feel very confident to have him perform my EGD and colonoscopy (as I’m a nurse so that says a lot).
He remembered me after 3 years from my first visit.
The Doctor operates a very organized, busy practice. The staff was focused & effective.Dr Wong explained my situation carefully & unhurried.Very nice.
Dr. Wong was extremely thorough with his explanation, informing me of other possible causes for my symptoms. He also explained the approaches we need to take before reaching a final diagnosis. I just wish the wait to see him was shorter, but I can see why he has a line of patients.
It's was ok...MD is informative but not as much as I would like. Many of the information given by MD I already knew about.
all very good.
Dr. Wong is courteous, thorough and patient. He takes the time to talk to you, ask questions, answer my questions and explain everything in detail.
Very good! Honestly, I was 15 minutes late for my appointment because of train trouble. So, the wait time may have been partially due to my late arrival. But, Dr. Wong and the office staff were very understanding and really great! Right now, I'm just waiting to hear if the anesthesiologist who will be present for the colonoscopy also takes my GHI-CBP insurance. Then, I will most certainly schedule my colonoscopy with Dr. Wong, and will share my feedback on Zocdoc. The sense I have from my one visit is that Dr. Wong's office is a doctor's office that is really very well run.
Compared to my first time undergoing the procedure, the recovery time was even shorter, so I would like to believe that my concern about anesthesia which I expressed in the presence of both Dr. Wong and the presiding anesthesiologist (Dr. Ramos I think) was taken into consideration. Just as last time if not even more often, many staff members including the doctors checked on me to ensure that I was ok until I had to leave which made me feel that even while they had other patients to tend to and a pending internet issue, they are not only professional but humane (I was not forgotten). Great service!
After confirming that I would still be seen if I were to arrive later which I admit is quite gracious of his office, I did not wait long at all considering that I had missed my original appt time. Dr. Wong was very pleasant and listened closely to me as I shared my reason for the visit which brings me to add that he also commented on a few things I had mentioned that were very important to me, so altogether, he exhibits consideration (a seemingly near-extinct quality among some in the care profession). I look forward to my future visit!
The doctor is ok. The staff isn't that friendly. The wait is pretty long. The sitting area is to small and crowd.
One of the best Gastrologist in town and very smart and helpful at what he does!
While the wait took some time, the office was also busy, and Dr. Wong made sure to spend time with me and not just make sure I was in-and-out, so the wait was definitely worth it. I felt very comfortable booking a follow-up.
Dr. Timothy Wong is friendly and knowledgeable. He also thinks for the patient in terms of the relationship of the possible treatment and financial spending. This is something that most doctors do not usually go into details. He gives options of what the patient could choose to do based on what he think it is. He doesn't rush you at all. The only thing that was painstaking was the waiting time. But after seeing him and listening to him, I think I would still recommend this doctor to anyone who doesn't get mad waiting.
He's a bit hard to find in Chinatown, but well worth the effort.
The office is extremely efficient and courteous. Dr. Wong is thorough and very informative. He takes his time and really cares about the welfare of his patients.
Dr. Wong is very competent, informative, and friendly. Before seeing him, I went to various other doctors who were unable to tell me what was wrong with me. However, Dr. Wong has been able to identify at least two things that are the cause of my discomfort and is still looking into things to get to the bottom of all my problems. He cares a lot about his patients' wellbeing and it shows. The only downside is that the wait time in his office is on average 40 minutes. However, he is well worth the wait.
Dr. Wong has a great bedside manner and took the time to explain everything in detail. The wait time is the only drawback - he packs so many folks in in one day that the wait time both times I went exceeded 45 mins. Allot time for that when you book with him!
Dr. Wong dealt with my tricky case of a stomach issue (feeling full all of the time) with being emotionally stressed out because I couldn't eat and it creating a horrible health Catch-22. He correctly diagnosed what I had pretty much right away although we weren't sure and was so upstanding as to steer me away from wanting to go on prokinetics (I was desperate and didn't care about the neurological side effects at that point)! He also made me feel less crazy by explaining the connection between the gut and serotonin and "normalized" what I was going through. He was also receptive/suggested working with a nutritionist and acupuncturist. Feel really lucky to have gotten this doctor and not someone who just phones it in with medications. Would recommend him to anyone with GI issues!
The BEST GI specialist I have ever encountered or ever hope to meet. He makes you feel like part of his family and his expertise is the best. I would highly recommend him to any one needing a truly excellent GI MD expert!!!!
He was great! Very thorough, listened to all of my questions and concerns and worked out the very best next steps to treat my condition. He was smart, well informed and has excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend!
Receptionist is really rude, but glad to see their wait times improve from 2+ hrs to only 40 minutes. In addition to the long wait, multiple patients are in the waiting room talking on speaker phone, yelling over the chinese drama playing on TV. Doctor himself is very professional and thorough.
Doc is very nice and thoughtful.
Hes a great doctor that listens to your concerns and looks for all different methods to solve the problem. Would definitely recommend him!
He is wonderful, intelligent, and professional. Conveniently located. Have seen him several times. Recommended!
Very Professional. Very Knowledgeable. Welcoming. He kept me calm although I was very nervous.
smart, great bedside manner, put me very much at ease. Would highly recommend .
Amazing guy and competent doctor. He made me feel so reassured.
He is very nice and attentive.
Dr. Wong answered all of my questions and was very thorough. The receptionists were pleasant, & the office was nice and crowded.
I cant say enough great things about Dr. Wong! From start to finish, I felt as though I was under the care of a genuinely dedicated medical professional. *Highlights* - Dr. Wong is attentive, thorough and genuinely concerned about his patients overall well being. Unbeknownst to me, he forwarded all of my medical records to my primary doc who had them readily available when I went in for a physical months later. - He immediately responded to an after-hours call that I placed to report discomfort following a procedure (he even followed up later that evening and the next day - a Sunday!) - He is a consummate professional in every way and he makes it his mission to ensure that your questions and concerns are addressed and treated promptly. I am grateful to Dr. Wong and his staff for taking such good care of me while under their care.
Dr. Wong was extremely personable, professional, thorough, and efficient. I felt like he took his time with me, and asked enough questions to gain the best understanding he could of my problem. He was very good at breaking everything down in ways I could completely understand, and presented my options very clearly. I was able to see him and get back to work in a reasonable amount of time. Wonderful doctor, highly recommended!
Dr. Wong was very considerate and very specific and helpful.
The wait was a little too long, but other patients said its unusual. Dr Wong is super nice and makes you feel very comfortable. I would recommend him to others for sure.
Great Doc ! The best bedside manner- even though I had to wait it didnot matter
Einstein Med School Grad (tops!), very knowledgeable and helpful. Seems very thorough, I have a follow-up appt in a couple of days. Great sense of urgency toward helping his patients. Very pleased and can highly recommend. Plus, his office is clean and calm. Thank you Zoc Doc!!!
He was a great doctor. Made me feel very comfortable and listened before jumping to conclusions. Scheduled all necessary tests and follow-up appointments easily and quickly.
Dr Wong is professional, polite and easy to talk to. I highly recommend.
Dr. Wong is very professional. He took time to ask all esstinal questions to get to know my issues. Then give me suggestion what be the next step.
Dr. Wong is extremely thorough and respectful. I am highly critical of doctors but found Dr. Wong and his staff highly professional and helpful.
Dr. Wong was pleasant, direct, and thoughtful in his treatment suggestions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Wong was laid back and easy to talk to while remaining highly professional. A rare combination in doctors who tend to be either totally removed or giant walking egos.
Dr. Wong is thorough, caring and will go beyond his expertise to make you feel comfortable with any medical problem. U are not just a number in Dr. Wongs office- you are a patient-and Dr. Wong cares. I thank him for his time and his bedside manner.
Knowledgeable and well mannered. He explained things well. Off to a rocky start with a mix up in appointment times but it was taken care of appropriately.
Dr. Wong was very accomodating to my hectic schedule. He has saturday appointments. He took his time with me and made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Wong.
