What should a new client know about working with you?

Strategic Insight: Beyond the Diagnosis My professional history is what sets your care apart. As a former generalist consultant at McKinsey & Company and an independent management consultant for VCs, incubators, and various Fortune 500 companies, I worked on complex strategy, operations, and transformation efforts which was invaluable experience that now allows me to uniquely offer real-world, strategic insights directly applicable to your life: Solving Workplace Stress: I understand the intense, often complex, and systemic pressures faced in various school and workplace settings. I can help you diagnose the core drivers of your stress or burnout, seeing them as strategic or operational issues that can be quickly restructured and optimized. Goal-Setting and Execution: My background is rooted in defining practical goals with clear metrics, optimizing processes, and managing cross-functional strategic plans. I bring this discipline to our sessions, helping you translate vague feelings of unrest or unhappiness into clear, achievable mental health goals and providing the framework to execute them, just as you would an ambitious business plan. Systemic Perspective on Healthcare: My work helping clients increase patient access, adherence / commitment to self-care and systems approaches to value-based care ensures I approach your well-being with a commitment to efficiency and high-value outcomes. Please note that my philosophy is that medications should be used judiciously, and also note that controlled substance prescribing via telehealth is very restricted at the moment. In almost all cases, I find that controlled substances are neither necessary nor helpful for patients, so these restrictions should not impact the outcomes that we can achieve via a telehealth platform. If you are specifically looking for existing controlled substance prescription refills, my recommendation is to seek out a local provider with availability for an in-person visit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A Partnership for Whole-Person Wellness Your care plan is never one-size-fits-all. It's a strategic roadmap for your total well-being, utilizing advanced, evidence-based practices: Integrative & Holistic Care: With certification in Integrative Psychiatry, I look beyond diagnoses to address the root causes of your current distress or challenges. We will explore nutrition, sleep, lifestyle and other non-medication options alongside traditional centrally-acting psychiatric medications, as our mind’s function is intimately connected to everything in our brain, body and life. Empowering Therapeutic Tools: I use techniques like Rational Living Therapy (a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to equip you with the mental tools to manage stress, reframe negative thought patterns, achieve personal goals, and build lasting resilience. Advanced Treatment Access: I have hands-on experience with cutting-edge modalities such as repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and ketamine infusions for treatment-resistant depression. Though I do not personally carry out these procedures anymore, I will leverage my intimate knowledge of their protocols / utility, extensive network of interventional psychiatrists to ensure that you have access to the highest value and most effective treatment options available for your unique needs.
