Getting to know Trenice Johnson
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with dual certification as a family practice nurse practitioner. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of South Alabama. I have practiced for several years in family practice and mental health services and strongly believe in the importance of mental healthcare. I am thrilled to be treating each person holistically and individually.
My approach
I therapeutically help clients develop insight into their emotions and behaviors during the course of treatment. Earning the trust and mutual respect of those who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and cultural stress is very important to me.
My focus
I am comfortable diagnosing and treating patients struggling with depression, anxiety/panic, insomnia, PTSD, PMDD, eating disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia.

I am an advocate who fosters a warm, friendly, compassionate, and straightforward environment.
My first session with you
To ensure we have a productive first visit, please be sure to fill out your intake form in advance. During our first visit, we will complete a full mental health assessment and evaluation. There will be many questions, especially regarding your medical and mental health history. Once we have completed your evaluation, we can discuss a treatment plan specific to your needs that will get you on the road to feeling better as soon as possible!

Professionalism of his provider was extremely inadequate. Spoke to me like a child and was extremely passive aggressive during my appointment. I felt uncomftorable sharing my symptoms and getting care from her.

Trenice Johnson is a godsend. She asked detailed questions that allowed me to provide important info that I had forgotten about. She took time to listen and I didn't feel rushed. I am very optimistic that I will get better under her care.
