Dr. Trevor Payne grew up near Orlando, Florida and attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Before going back to medical school he was a high school science teacher. Dr. Payne attended medical school at Barry University in Miami, Florida. He then completed a 3-year foot and ankle surgical residency at Florida Hospital in Orlando. Dr. Payne received extensive training in foot and ankle reconstruction, congenital and traumatic deformity correction, foot and ankle trauma, sports medicine, and clinical palliative care techniques. Dr. Payne’s wife, Erin, is an emergency physician in the Augusta area, and together they have a daughter and four pets. During their free time, the Paynes enjoy traveling, participating in medical mission trips, and outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, and winter sports.
