About Ty Comer
My name is Ty Comer, and I am originally from Indiana. I graduated from Indiana State University with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. I began my career in psychiatry in Houston, TX, and we recently moved to Austin to pursue our career goals. I have always had a passion for preventative health and am excited to continue my journey with Family Medicine Austin! I hope my patients feel heard, encouraged, and motivated to maintain a long, healthy life. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our beautiful one-year-old daughter. We love being outdoors and exploring new areas of Texas. I am also a huge sports fan, especially of baseball and college football.

I thought Ty’s office exceeded expectations. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly, but this office also offered unique services like vitamin IV therapy and an advanced physical screening.

I didn’t have to wait long and the office was nice. The employees were polite but did seem to be in a rush and did try to upsell me on some supplements. The whole appointment was maybe 15 minutes which I don’t feel was sufficient. There weren’t other people waiting to be seen so I don’t know what the rush was. I was told to take mucinex and rest. I did that but still feel sick a week later. Not worth it.

Such an easy and great experience. I just moved to Austin and was scared to find a doctor here but Ty and the team made the office so welcoming and an overall great experience!

I was very impressed by Ty and Family Medicine as a whole. This was my first visit, and I went for an annual exam.
From paperwork to the end of the visit was a little less than an hour. I was seen within five minutes of my appointment start time. Ty really listened to my concerns and gave good next steps and referrals.
The office staff was very friendly and made all instructions about labs, another appointment, etc very clear. Overall very glad that I chose this clinic and Ty!

The provider was a fantastic listener and very thorough with his recommendations. The visit was straightforward, referrals sent, medications prescribed. As an anxious person, I'm always worried I'll get the "it's in your head, try this pill" treatment without looking for the underlying cause. That was not the case, and I'm happy to be on a path for actual answers.

This was my first visit with Dr. Ty Comer as a new patient, and overall I had a great experience. It was a consultation appointment to establish primary care, and I appreciated how Dr. Comer took the time to listen to all of my concerns without rushing. He was thoughtful, attentive, and made me feel comfortable discussing my health history.
I left the visit feeling like I’m in good hands. The office staff was also friendly and efficient. Glad to have found a provider who seems genuinely engaged and thorough from the start!

Very clean office, very friendly young staff, and felt cared for. They were prompt and thorough, really care. Dr. Comer listened and he took action right away and all week to promptly help me through some difficult lab results I recieved. He made me a plan and took my health very seriously! I am very happy he took me in as a new patient and feel safe under his care and he can definitely help improve my situation!

Not specific to this office but having patients fill out online paper work about contact info and ID and insurance while they are also asking and filling out some of that same info at the same time is inefficient.
Ty was great and the office was really competent and helpful overall. And cutting edge with the comprehensiveness of the physical they offer for preventive care.

Not only did I receive a thorough check-up, but I also got referrals to all the specialists I needed to see. I would highly recommend Ty Comer to anyone in need of medical care.
