Tyler Davis, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and her post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science.
Tyler has experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including postpartum care, medical-surgical units, and community mental health crisis stabilization. She is skilled in treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and chronic mental illness through psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapeutic interventions for adult and adolescent clients.
As a nurse practitioner, Tyler believes every individual is unique. She works closely with clients to assess bio-psycho-social factors, placing strong emphasis on stress and trauma that influence mental health. She is passionate about recognizing human strengths, positive emotions, distress tolerance, and the cognitive strategies people use to overcome stressors.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Our initial appointment together will consist of a comprehensive psycho-medical evaluation, including but not limited to discussing medications, desired effects and adverse effects, risks and benefits. This will help to determine an individualized treatment plan that too caters to the client’s needs, as well as treatment expectations. Thereafter, our follow up appointments will be geared towards monitoring progress and making changes as necessary for the client’s optimal mental health and healing.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Tyler has been so great at treating my depression/anxiety/ADHD. She is very knowledgable in her area, which is what you'd hope for from your provider, but I've had some bad luck prior to Tyler. She's always putting the patient first. Tyler really tries to provide treatments that will allow patients to still be themselves, but without their conditions affecting them. Unlike other providers, who will prescribe anything and leave you feeling like a zombie. I am so incredibly happy that I started to see Tyler for my conditions.

Wow! Finally a health professional that listens and educates. I expressed to Tyler numerous times during our appointment how much I appreciated her patience and knowledge. After experiencing an unfortunate mishap with my doctor/medication, I knew it was time to find a new provider. Tlyer is amazing. What would I do without her. She's super patient and understanding and always checks-in. She always willing to listen and really wants what's best for you and works with you to get you on the right path to heal and get you on a med management plan that's best for you. Never pushy with meds. The only "bad" thing I could say is that I wish she could be my therapist and psychiatrist in one lol. Even if that meant double the cost, I would be the first one lined because she's that awesome.
