Dr. Tyler Josephs is a staff psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He received his medical degree from Kansas City University in 2017 and completed his psychiatric residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2021.
During that time, he served as Chief Resident at the University of Kansas Medical Center and the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Dr. Josephs most recently worked at the Kansas City VA Medical Center where he was the psychiatric director of the outpatient mental health clinic and served as Psychiatry Executive for behavioral health services.
He believes in a holistic approach that includes medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and working collaboratively with therapists and support staff. Dr. Josephs enjoys treating a variety of psychiatric diagnoses including depression, anxiety disorders (including OCD), ADHD and PTSD.

If your provider recommends medication, they’ll walk you through your options—our goal is always to help you make informed choices about your care. You’ll meet with your provider regularly for follow-up visits to check in, adjust your care as needed, and make sure you feel supported in your journey.

I completed all forms prior to my visit. The day of my appointment when I clicked on the link I was sent another set of question to answer. I answered them. Entered the conference room site and got a message stating that the moderator of the call would be with me shortly. Or appointment was for 0900. at 0912 I got a text on my phone saying the doctor cancelled the visit. Not professional this is the second time that a psychiatrist has no showed on me.
