Dr. Ulf Lando is an internist serving patients in Encino and the greater Los Angeles area. He earned his medical degree from the Karolinska Institute Faculty of Medicine and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center. Dr. Lando also pursued studies in Epidemiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Trained in both the U.S. and Sweden, he served as an assistant clinical professor at UCLA, conducted cardiology research at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, and taught at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem.

I scheduled this appointment specifically for pre-operative clearance, including bloodwork and an EKG. Those services were completed, and the physician assistant who performed them was professional and efficient.
During the visit, however, the doctor offered unsolicited opinions opposing my upcoming surgery and made comments linking it to my behavioral health. These discussions were not requested, were unrelated to the purpose of my appointment, and felt inappropriate for a pre-operative clearance visit.
While the necessary testing was completed, the unsolicited commentary made the experience uncomfortable and detracted from what should have been a straightforward medical visit focused on the services scheduled.
He seemed well intentioned but having to explain my choices was not why I was there.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had, invasive, rude, condescending , I had not been a doctor in years and people like Dr. Lando are the precise reason.
Hardly addressed the issue I came in for and talked more about things he is not qualified to recommend.
