Dr. Uthra Kodiyalam is a board-certified internist who has been practicing in the Springfield area of New Jersey for the past 22 years. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Government Kilpauk Medical College. My appointment was made for 8:30am, weeks in advance. At 8:05am on the day of, I received a phone call that the provider would not be in until 9:30am and so I could not be seen until then. Not only had I taken the day home from work, I was already on my way to the appointment.
Will not be trying to go here again.

I got to my appointment 15 minutes early. Waited in the waiting room for 30 mins past my appointment time. As I waited I watched a woman get angry and start yelling about how long she had been waiting. The assistant who took my weight didn’t even know I was a new patient. After 10 mins, the wrong doctor came in and told me she would be back. I waited another 10 minutes for my actual doctor. My actual doctor talked at me and didn’t listen to me. I told her I was working on losing weight and if she had asked about it, she would have known I already lost 18 pounds and had adopted healthy habits that were working. Instead she shoved two worksheets at me about foods nutrition. She didnt even ask about if I was exercising, which I do everyday. She had me get a blood test and they gave me the wrong blood test (HIV instead of a standard test) I checked the appt notes and she said I was obsese when I am only 9 lbs over normal. I will not I will never come back here for sure.

My experience at this medical facility was exasperating. The doctor seems solely focused on surgeries, neglecting regular patients. The staff gathers information initially but then forgets about you, leaving you to wait indefinitely. They don't seem to care about wasting your time, as if the importance of your day is insignificant to them. Frustrating and utterly unprofessional. However the front desk ladies were very nice and cooperative.

Dr Kodiyalam is a tremendous all around person. She truly cares about the health and well-being of her patients. Dr. K explains all possible treatments and the rationale behind them and includes your input in the decision making. She is a top notch Doctor that goes above and beyond for her patients.

She is amazing. I had to relocate to a different state, but she sets the bar HIGH when it comes to a physician's standard.
Dr K addressed all of my needs, her staff is wonderful and she always saw me within 10 minutes of my appointment time--if not right away.
She is fantastic, straight to the point and will take care of all of your needs. I HIGHLY recommend she and her team.
