The Dr I talked in Dallas was amazing. Living in Austin, Tx I have to wait many months to see my rheumatologist for my *****. It was wonderful to talk with a real rhu. On the same day. I’ve had a rough week, and he spent as much time as I wanted to explain my issues, and he actually prescribed the medication I needed. He also instructed me to go for a local follow up. I just picked up my meds three hours ago. Thank you kindly.

I had one visit, a CT scan and back from the Doctor. Part of being a healthcare provider is showing that you can listen even when people’s wishes don’t agree with yours. If a patient tells you, “no, I don’t want to be treated that way,” they have just autonomy. Dr. Anukam, simply decided that the best way to “listen” is to yell over the phone at a patient who had until then been neglected by their PCP. The whole reason I sought this telehelath visit. He then complained that he only spends a few minutes on the phone with his patients but spent 1 hour in my visit. He chose to ask multiple questions, he said he wanted to know more. How am I the one that is supposed to moderate the duration of a phone visit. I am the patient and it was a health interview. No, I have never had anyone in healthcare much less a doctor just “raise their voice” in the way he did. You are supposed to show that you can put yourself in your patient’s shoes, and have empathy.
