“For some reason it’s really hard to find a good gyn doctor- but I really really liked Dr. Wells. She is the only doctor I’ve ever had who had a discussion with me in her office about the reason I was there and my medical history and then brought me to the exam room. She took her time during my appointment, really listened to my concerns, and went out of her way to find me additional resources for other health things I’m going through.
I did have to wait 45 mins but it was a Zocdoc appointment so they kind of squeeze you in and she had three big procedures right before me (I was chatting with one of the employees who took my blood pressure) and she was definitely worth the wait. ”

About Dr. Valerie Wells
Dr. Wells graduated summa cum laude from Amherst College with a BA in Chemistry. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she was elected to the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. Following medical school, Dr. Wells completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
For the past 10 years, Dr. Wells has been practicing on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. In 2005, she began building a thriving general gynecology and gynecologic surgery practice at her current location.
Board certified since 2004, Dr. Wells has received multiple accolades, including the Patient's Choice Award in 2008 and 2009, and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). Dr. Wells has been invited to speak on various gynecologic topics and has appeared in both print and television media.
